About Sue Haviland & Brian Sacks

Sue Haviland is a National Reverse Mortgage Consultant based in Baltimore, MD and the founder of Reverse Mortgage Success, a leader in loan officer training and education on reverse mortgages.

Sue Haviland has worked in the lending industry since 1981. She has been originating reverse mortgages for the last 8 years and still originates loans every day.  She has helped hundreds of families all over the country in the last several years. Sue also shares her knowledge of this market in presentations before the Wisconsin Mortgage Professionals Association, Women’s Council of Realtors, Philadelphia Mortgage
Bankers Association, National Association of Professional Mortgage Women, October Research Corporation Seminars, and her local Board of Realtors as well as the public. She has written for such publications as Broker Agent on line magazine Mortgage Originator Magazine, Mortgage Planner Magazine, Mortgage Currentcy, and Mortgage Lending Compliance Alert, Broker Universe online and Reverse Review Magazine.

Sue teaches real estate professionals how to use reverse mortgages to build their business and give their senior clients a better quality of life. She holds the designation of CMI (Certified Mortgage Instructor) with
the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. She is the author of “Senior Solutions, Secrets To Maintaining Independence and Choice for Life” and is a contributing author to “62 Senior Moments” and “Priceless Caregiving, Stories of Elder Care Success, Courage and Strength”.

Brian Sacks is a nationally known mortgage and real-estate expert. Since 1985 he has closed over 5325 mortgage transactions totaling over 1 Billion Dollars in production.

Locally, Sacks has been awarded the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors coveted affiliate of the year award. He has authored courses for the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and has written for numerous industry publications.

Sacks has conducted classes for Realtors and Realtists in the Baltimore area for over 2 decades and has
authored courses approved for Realtor and Realtists continuing credit accreditation. He has appeared on
over 43 radio stations as a mortgage expert as well as ABC, NBC, CBS and Comcast TV.

For 9 years Mr Sacks was the in-house mortgage expert for NBC WBAL TV 11 appearing weekly on the
weekend news sharing mortgage tips and answering viewers questions on the air. He has also been featured in and written for the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Business Journal as well as the Daily Record.

As the only child of senior parents he has experienced and been intimately involved in the challenges
seniors face and the solutions available to them. He has dedicated his career to educating seniors and their
families to the benefits of the Reverse Mortgage Program.
